Father Sulit Froilan (FHILIPPINES) is the new chess world champion of the 5th Clericus Chess 2018, which ended at 13.00 December 1, 2018 in Rome, at the Istituto Santa Maria of the Marianists in Viale Manzoni 5.
Father Sulit Froilan is a a young Filipino priest who lends his priestly service to north-east Italy in Trieste.

It is confirmed Italian Champion Father Gennaro Cicchese (Italy).
Father Gennaro Cicchese is a professor of Philosophical Anthropology at the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome.

The tournament was the most exciting of the five editions played so far, as it was fought and, until the last round of the game, there were four to contend the title.

Friday November 30 it was totally full the room with the conference "The importance of sports promotion to promote preagonism and competitive spirit in sport (with analysis on Chess case)" with speakers Giuseppe sgrò (Psychologist and expert/teacher CONI-Lombardia and UISP) and Andrea Rossi (instructor-tutor FSI-Italian Chess Federation and author of the "Scacchetesi-Catechism with chess").
